This successful and famous fast-food chain restaurant began as a drive in, with two brothers, Richard and Maurice Mcdonald , they open their “ Bar-B-Q” in 1940 in San Bernardino, California on the corner of 14th and E street, their famous hamburgers were only 15 cents (about $2.49 today), by 1949, they replaced their potato chips with their world famous French fries. The first few years Mcdonald's was a success, generating an annual $200,000 ( $3,329,271.42 today)in sales.First Menu
Their first menu included chili, tamales, peanut butter and jelly with French fries (yes peanut butter and jelly French fries).They also originally served potato chips and pie, which were latter swaped for milkshakes and French fries.
